Krishna's Butterball, Mahabalipuram, India

In Mahabalipuram India, a giant monolithic granite rock has found which is 20 feet in height. With its width which almost equal to its height, it looks spherical in some angles but not in a perfect sphere.

This mysterious rock is known as Krishna's Butterball in the last 50 years despite the fact its original name is "Vannirai Kal". It measures over 250  tons and remarkably stands on an extremely small, slippery area of a hill. And the stone was there over the 1200 years.

In 1908 the Governor of Madras Arthur Lawley decided to remove the boulder as it very dangerous for nearby homes. Seven elephants were employed to push to rock but the didn't move a bit and it surprises everyone and the task was abandoned.
