Many of us have listened about different types of mountains on earth but few of them known about Mysterious mountains. They are beyond out of our reach and are dangerous too.

1) Mount Kailash

Mount Kailash is a 6,638m high peak in Tibet. It is located near the source of the of the Indus river and some other long rivers in Asia. Buddhists, Hindu and other religious consider Mount Kailash to be a holy place. Climbing the mountain is said to bring misfortune. Particularly mysterious is the shape of Mount Kailash. It has been suggested that the mountain is, in fact, a giant pyramid. That would make it largest pyramid ever built.



2) Gamburtsev Mountains

The Gamburtsev Mountains are a massive mountain range under the ice of Antartica. It is comparable to the Alps in Size. The underwater peaks are up to 2,400 m high. The Gamburtsev Mountains were discovered some 50 years ago and researchers are still working to answer many questions. It is a mystery how the Gamburtsev range was formed, and why they are still there. The usual geological processes that result in the mountain that result in mountain formation do not deem to apply.

3) Mount Bugarach

Mount Bugarach is named after a small French village in the Pyrenees. It is 1,230 meters high and relatively easy to climb. Mount Bugarach is a dormant volcano with an internal fire causing hot springs. The Bugarach mystery comes from the legend that the mountain contains a door to another world. Just before 2012, this legend led believers in the Maya- calendar - end-of-the-world theory believe they could survive on or in the mountain.

4) Mount Roraima

Mount Roraima is the highest peak of the Pakarima Chain in South America. It forms a border point of Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana. it is a tabletop mountain, with an impressive 31 square kilometers summit area. It is on the oldest geographical formations on Earth. Mount Roraima is a very mysterious mountain. It rises up out of the jungle,  is often partly hidden in the mist. The number of UFO sightings is high in the mountain. Vistors report all sorts of Phenomena and often feel 'different ' on Mount Roraima. 

5)Mount Khvamli

Mount Khvamli is part of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range. It is a limestone massif of over 2000 meters high. The mountain is in a remote location, different to access. Mount Khvamli has a reputation for danger. It is the mountain where, according to the legend, Prometheus was nailed to as a punishment after he stole fire from the gods. Other legends surrounding Mount Khvamli say that a dragon lives inside and that it hides ancient royal treasures.

6)Mount Ararat

Finally in this list of mysterious mountains: Mount Ararat. It is the legendary place where Noah's Ark landed at the end of its travels on the flooded Earth. Mount  Ararat is an extinct volcanic massif in western turkey. It is over 5000 meters high. In ancient times the region around Mount  Ararat was known as Urartu. Ararat is the Hebrew version of this Assyro - Babylonian name. Legend has it that Nolan's ark still lies on Mount Ararat, And some mountaineers have reported seeing it, Local Legends refer to Mount Ararat as the cradle of Human life.

7) Mount Shasta

Located in northern California, USA (4332 m ) is a potentially active volcano and one of the world's Mysterious mountains. The oldest- known human habitation in the area dates to about 7000 years ago, and by about 5000 years ago, there was sustainable human habitation in the surrounding area. According to local Indian tribes, Mount Shasta is inhabited by the spirit chief Skell who descended from heaven to the mountain's summit. Mount Shasta has also been a focus for non- native American legends, centered on a hidden city of advanced beings from the lost of Lemuria.
